Health and Safety Education During the Closure

I would like to share with everyone that during the closure lots of things are happening behind the scenes. Currently the team and I are all completing training to refresh our knowledge of sanitization, disinfecting and how to create a new level of health and safety to protect our guests and each other once the salon re-opens. We will be implementing many new policies regarding sanitation before, during and after each guest visit. Currently, I am working to design our opening to incorporate many new habits to keep everyone safe. 

I am creating new schedules for the team to allow for new social distancing policy and capacity restrictions. 

I will likely be looking to create new hours of business to allow for all our team members to work normal schedules while potentially limiting the number of clients we may be allowed to host at a given time. As there are so many of us I may need to expand the opportunities to work. 

We will be washing our hands before and after each guest and will now be incorporating wearing gloves, masks and have tool disinfectant at each station to ensure your health and well being.  

I am working on a plan to communicate with our guests who have been cancelled during this closure and with all our guests to get appointments rescheduled with their stylist.

Patience Please

I am really appreciative of all the love and patience that everyone has shown us as this has been a very difficult time. So many of our guests have been inconvenienced with cancellations during this closure and I know that has been challenging.  It is going to take some patience and understanding to get everyone re-booked and back on track. We appreciate you for understanding how hard we will work to get everyone booked! 

When the salon does open there are going to be new habits and concepts that may take extra time and we will all be working very hard to adapt to new expectations. I know we will all work together to be kind, understanding and patient.

The Dreaded Roots Are Coming In…Color Fresh Temporary Colour

Color Fresh is a true temporary colour. No ammonia, no peroxide, no alcohol and it lasts 8-10 shampoos. This is an amazing product to refresh stale colour, create shiny hair and improve the hydration for healthier hair. Color Fresh can give up to 30 % grey coverage and can be a super help to those of you that are really struggling with us being closed.

Salon Update April 1

I wanted to send a note to everyone to let all of you know what is happening at Supernova Salon. 

Originally we were told that we would be closed for 2 weeks and then be able to re open but at this time the Government has a mandated closure for all salons until further notice.

The salon has been closed now for 2 weeks, I can’t believe we are still closed. I feel terrible about all the appointments we have had to cancel! The styling team wants nothing more than to do your hair!!!! What is happening in the world is very stressful and scary and also very sad. I miss my team and I miss all of you very much. I am one of the lucky ones who loves to be at my work place so this has been so hard. I know we are doing the right thing and getting COVID-19 under control is our top concern but I miss my salon family.  

I am educating myself everyday on new government updates and information so know when we are going to be able to open.

Appointment Cancellations 

I have re configured our traditional confirmation emails and texts into appointment cancellation notifications. These emails and texts go out 3 days before your appointment, allowing us to go day by day and only cancel necessary appointments. 

ReBooking 

At this time we will not be rebooking appointments until we have a confirmed open date. I have the  list of the guests who have been cancelled so we can get you booked in as soon as we are open. We will be contacting all clients via email when we are allowed to open.

Important Salon and Appointment updates

Dear Valued Guests, 

I wanted to post a note to everyone to let all of you know what is happening at Supernova Salon. 

As of last Wednesday the salon is closed. What is happening in the world is very stressful and scary and also very sad. I miss my team and I miss all of you very much. I am one of the lucky ones who loves to be at my work place so this has been so hard. I know we are doing the right thing and getting COVID-19 under control is our top concern but I miss my salon family. 

Amber and I have been working very hard to get all our salon team taken care of. There has been a full week of government/administrative work to make sure our team is taken care of during the salon shut down and that has been our top priority. 

Over the last few days and going forward we will be sending an email out to anyone who has an upcoming appointment. Any appointments up to April 1st are cancelled as we are currently closed. We are emailing each and every one of you to reach out personally. As of now we are going week by week as we are getting new updates daily and our decisions are based on what the health authorities’ instructions are.

We apologize if you have received a confirmation email and are wondering if we are open but there are many appointments to get to and we are working as hard as we can. At this time we will not be rebooking appointments but we will be creating a VIP list of those who were cancelled so we can get you booked in as soon as we are open.

We apologize if you have sent an email to us and it has taken longer than normal to get back to you but we are working as hard as we can to get to all of you. If you need to reach us please send an email as the salon phone is more difficult to manage.
